After many years of begging and
pleading, The Rollingwood Waves was proud to announce the
hiring of
Whitney
Hedgepeth as our
new head coach
for the 2009 season. Whitney has now agreed to return for
the 2010 season! There is no doubt her experience places
her not only as the best coach in Austin , but probably in
the entire state of Texas . Whitney is no stranger to the Rollingwood swim team as her daughter Dakota (10) and son
Sage (8) are members of the Rollingwood Waves and have been
for years.

In addition, she has been the Director
and National Team Coach at Texas Aquatics (now Longhorn
Aquatics), the Head Masters Coach at Austin Aquatics and is
currently the Head Masters Coach at Longhorn Aquatics where
she has been since 2004. She was elected to the Longhorn
Women's Hall of Honor in 2007.
She ran the Pikes Peak Marathon in 2005
and claims to have been dizzy ever since and is a neat freak
and dessert lover.
