News and Announcements

  • All members should be aware by now that we have transitioned MindBody for our sign-up process for family swim, lap swim and tennis court reservations.. If you haven’t already, please use the following link and create a login in and password.
The sign-up schedule will remain the same as far being released on Fridays to sign up for the following week, and additional spots being released on Sundays and Mondays.
We have also transitioned to our Fall schedule.
As a reminder, face masks will be required for all members who enter the facility. You must be wearing a mask to enter. Once you have settled in your area, you may only remove your mask if you are swimming or if you are at least 6 feet apart from another patron that isn’t in your household.
We will continue to ask that all members self-screen at home before heading to WHAC, and temperatures will continue to be taken at the entrance as an added safety measure. Anyone with a 100.4 degree temperature or higher will be asked to leave the facility. If any members choose not to comply with the temperature check, they will also be asked to leave the facility.
According to the CDC, symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with the following symptoms should remain home:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    Facility Guidelines:
    • The bathrooms will be available for use.
    • The lockers, showers, water fountain and suit dryer will remain closed and will NOT be available for use.
    • The playground will remain closed and will NOT be available for use.
    • Member check-in and temperature checks will be required at the front desk.
    • All members who utilize the WHAC will continue to be required to sign a COVID-19 Waiver.
    • Member swim opportunities are for WHAC MEMBERS ONLY. No guest swimmers will be allowed (including visiting relatives).
    LAP SWIM:
    • Members must sign up to reserve a 1-hour time slot to swim in a lane.
    • Members are limited to TWO lap swim time slots for the week when sign-ups are released. On Sunday at 5pm, members may sign up for ONE additional spot, if available. On Monday at 5pm, additional sign-ups will be unlimited in order to fill up any empty spots.
    • Please arrive when your sign-up time begins, as the lifeguards will instruct swimmers to get out of the pool 50 minutes into the hour.
    • 4-7 consecutive lanes will be open and dedicated for lap swim/exercise purposes only for WHAC members, depending on the day.
    • Some lap swim times may take place during times our year-round swim team is practicing.
    • Members who are ages 13+ may lap swim independently.
    • Members who are ages 12 and under MUST have a parent/guardian in the lane with them.
    • Each lane is limited to ONE SWIMMER ONLY. Two swimmers in a lane will be allowed if they reside in the same household.
    • Members will be required to wait in their vehicles until their chosen time slot begins. (Please no loitering in the parking lot.)
    • Every member who reserves a time slot must also sign a waiver releasing WHAC of all liability related to COVID-19.
    • No guest swimmers will be allowed (including visiting relatives).
    • If you are not going to make your time slot, please be considerate and delete your sign up through the link.
    FAMILY SWIM:
    • Families must sign up to reserve a 1-hour time slot for family swim.
    • Families are limited to TWO time slots when sign-ups are released. On Sunday at 5pm, families may sign up for ONE additional spot, if available. On Monday at 5pm, additional signups will be unlimited in order to fill up any empty spots.
    • Member families who sign up MUST RESIDE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD. (For example, you may not bring another family’s children with you during your designated time slot.)
    • The recommendation is to use up to 50 minutes of the time to swim and the remaining time to pack up. Lifeguards will blow a whistle at 50 minutes after the hour to warn you to start getting out.
    • Self-discipline in social distancing is very important and mandatory!
    • The diving board will remain open during some of the sign-up slots. Social distancing will be enforced while waiting for diving board use.
While we will continue to do our very best to disinfect our facility, tables, chair, etc. between members arriving and leaving, we would highly encourage members to bring their own sanitizing supplies (i.e. hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes) to help keep our facility as clean and safe as possible.
We understand that the switch to MindBody will come with some growing pains and a learning curve for a few. However, we’re confident that with a little time, MindBody will make the sign-up process much easier and streamlined.
We will continue to do the very best that we can for our WHAC patrons, given the circumstances. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue to adjust week by week.
As always, respectful feedback is always welcomed.
    Thank you,
    WHAC Board
